Wrath and Worth
Young Adult Contemporary Romantasy
When psychic teenager Liana Marshal joins a secret support group of her own kind (the Kinnish), she must conceal her shameful past in order to belong.
17 year old Liana Marshal’s psychic power should be a gift, but its volatile nature warps her sense of reality. After a vision tricks her into pushing her mother to her death, she lives in shame and longs to escape her abusive older brother Brian, who is determined to make sure she never forgets the horrible thing that she did.
When her teacher Mr. Benson discovers her power, he invites her to his secret support group for teens with special abilities. There she meets Kye, a fire wielder who can suppress the powers of others. Their first encounter triggers a vision telling her that one day, Kye will mean everything to her. But Liana’s shame is too deep, and she refuses to believe herself worthy of such love.
Kye’s struggle with his fire is similar to the way Liana strives to contain her visions, but his power suppression is strong. He helps Liana face the things that trigger her power, and she realizes that when she’s with him, she feels safe. Her life becomes a battle of longing and logic as Liana draws closer to Kye while striving to conceal her past. If he discovers the horror she committed, he could abandon her. And losing him and her place in the group means she’ll be back to isolation in a miserable life.
Sad, redemptive, and injected with hope, I present to you: Wrath and Worth.

Young Adult Contemporary Romantasy
(working title)
When homeless teenager James Wilder is taken in by a kind old man, he must obey strict rules in order to stay and get his life back on track.
James Wilder just wants to finish his junior year of high school and pursue a normal life, but his addict father is constantly hindering his plans. Both from the Telepathic line of the Kinnish, his father uses his power to coerce James into concealing their life of poverty and his illegal activity. When his father suddenly withdraws him from school, he reveals the unthinkable: he and James have been hired to work for the very organization that hunts their kind.
Terrified, James is forced to comply, but when he goes on his first mission, instead of killing the target, he runs.
A month later, James is homeless in small town eastern Washington. Old Mr. Porter has pity on him and agrees to let him stay the summer until he turns eighteen. But there are two conditions:
1. James has to get his GED and get his life on track. And 2. James has to leave Mr. Porter’s teenage granddaughter alone.
Mr. Porter’s offer is James’s last chance to live a normal life free from his possessive father. If he messes this up, he’s back to the street, back to starving, and back to running.
